What it is & key benefits
This is a peel-type exfoliating serum designed for acne-prone, oily, congested or textured skin.
It uses succinic acid as a core active to target acne and sebum production.
It also incorporates a high-percentage acid complex (AHA/BHA) to unclog pores, remove dead skin cells, clear blackheads and whiteheads. For example: “21% AHA/BHA”.
Includes soothing/ calming ingredients (e.g., Centella Asiatica extract, tea tree water) to help reduce irritation from exfoliation.
Aims to refine skin texture, reduce breakouts, control excess oil/sebum and improve clarity of skin.
📋 How to use
After cleansing, dry your face (most usage instructions emphasise application on dry skin) so the acids can work.
Apply a thin, even layer of the product (avoiding eyes and lips).
Leave on 1-2 minutes (some say 1 minute for sensitive skin) then rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Use 1-2 times per week initially, and always follow with moisturiser and sunscreen the next morning (because exfoliation increases sun sensitivity).
Note: Because of the high acid level, users should patch test and reduce frequency if skin becomes irritated.
🧪 Key ingredients & formulation highlights
Succinic Acid: A less common acid in skincare, it’s used here for sebum control and acne-targeting properties.
AHA / BHA complex: Numerous listings say “21% AHA/BHA”– so glycolic/lactic acids (AHAs) and salicylic acid (BHA) contribute to exfoliation of dead skin cells and pore congestion.
Soothing botanical extracts like Centella Asiatica, tea tree leaf extract, panthenol, allantoin etc — help calm post-exfoliation redness and irritation.
The texture is described as quite potent: “peel serum” style rather than a simple everyday toner or light exfoliant. Some caution for sensitive skin.
